I will be taking a sabbatical (time for research and development) from my workshop and will be living in Florence, Italy from September 2007 through July 2008.

During this time I will be finishing current instrument orders, attending European exhibitions, visiting early instrument collections, connecting with European musicians, attending performances and taking time to practice and play the hautboy myself.

I will continue to accept instrument orders by mail or email. We will keep our current Lopez mailing address, email address and our telephone number. However, the best way to reach me during this time in Europe will be via email.

Waiting times for new orders will necessarily be longer because of this, but I hope that the benefits of new research and contact with players will help me to provide even better instruments in the future.
